When to Go

The best time to visit Cape Town is period October to March which is the South African summer.  When planning your holiday bear in mind that that second half of December is the peak of the holiday season when schools and most companies are closed and majority of the locals take their annual vacation.  If you decide to visit South Africa during this time book your accommodation well in advance and be prepared to pay higher rates as many places raise their prices to take advantage of the increased demand.
